David Seth Orowitz, SVP of development, L&L Holding Co.
NEW YORK CITY—David Seth Orowitz, a former Trump Organization senior vice president, has joined L&L Holding Co. as a SVP of development.
Orowitz will now focus on L&L’s development, redevelopment and acquisition initiatives throughout Manhattan in his new post. He reports to L&L chairman and CEO David Levinson as well as Robert Lapidus, president and CIO for L&L.
“Our capabilities and expertise have grown exponentially over the last several years, and we are actively building out a senior leadership team that can implement our current roster of projects while also exploring new investment and development opportunities,” Levinson, says.
Last month, L&L announced that Adam Metzger, a former acquisitions executive with Normandy Real Estate Partners, had been hired by L&L as its VP of acquisitions.
Orowitz served as SVP, acquisitions and development at the Trump Organization and managed all aspects of the investment process for the company’s hotel, residential, retail, and mixed-use properties. Among the projects Orowitz was involved in were Trump’s procurement and redevelopment of the Old Post Office in Washington, DC and the acquisition of the Doral Golf Resort and Spa in Miami. Previously, he worked as a VP at Kaiser Associates in Washington, DC, where he led a consulting practice to clients including Sprint, Pfizer, IBM, Comcast and General Mills.
Among some of L&L’s major projects include the new 425 Park Ave., which will be the first full-block office development to rise on the famed boulevard in half a century; the re-massing and redevelopment of 390 Madison Ave., an 850,000 square-foot office tower near Grand Central Station; and the retail repositioning of the landmarked lobby space at 195 Broadway.
