Wendy Blue joins CREXi from JLL, where she held several consulting positions in commercial real estate.
NEW YORK CITY—CREXi, the online commercial real estate marketplace, has hired Wendy Blue as regional director of business development here to support the firm’s continued expansion into the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. The company is headquartered in Venice, CA.
Blue joins CREXi from JLL, where she held several consulting positions in commercial real estate. In Blue’s most recent role at the firm, she provided strategic occupancy planning, as well as real estate advisory and transaction management services to a Fortune 100 financial services corporation.
Prior to that role, Blue specialized in tenant representation in the Washington, DC market as well as federal leasing, where she managed a portfolio of government leases and provided real estate brokerage and financial advisory services to the General Services Administration. At CREXi’s office here, Blue will join her long-time industry peer, Christina Host who was hired in October.
“Wendy grew up in the industry and comes to us from an amazing firm where she excelled,” says Mike DeGiorgio founder and CEO of CREXi. “Wendy will help grow our New York office with a focus on the Mid-Atlantic, where she grew up and has spent much of her career. After being introduced to Wendy, we spent a few months speaking with her and concluded that her vision mirrored ours. We’re lucky to welcome her to the team and are excited to watch her growth.”
In addition to the new hire, CREXi has reached a milestone by achieving active inventory of more than 10,000 commercial properties for sale in the marketplace, representing approximately $60 billion in value. Active inventory excludes thousands of properties which have sold or are under contract.
“We launched our platform with four properties in Texas only 15 months ago,” notes DeGiorgio. “We are now active in every state and are growing our third office. We recognize we have a long way to go, but it’s rewarding to enjoy the milestone and reflect on what we’ve built.”
